TRAVEL GUIDE | SAN FRANCISCO

An hour plane ride stands between me and San Francisco, and that’s literally nothing.. I can get there faster than I can get to Santa Monica most days lol. I took a little get away to northern cali in July (2019), and thought I’d create a blog post on all the activities we got into, and the deets on where we ate and stayed.

Let’s get straight into it.

WHERE I STAYED

We were pretty lucky to snag a deal at The Palace Hotel, a luxury collection hotel in San Francisco. It was little more on the pricier side, but we found the value in where it was located and limiting our use of Ubers.. I now adore this hotel. From the service, rooms, and value I 100% recommend this hotel for your stay in the city or at least stopping by for tea time (or coffee, c’mon) in The Garden Court Restaurant bc.. just look at the image below – unreal.

Now, we ate.. a lot on this trip and I don’t regret it. Here is a list of some of our fav stops.

GET-DOWN MEALS

MARUFUKU RAMEN

Yeah this is a ramen place, but if you’re big on rice (like myself + my bf) you’re gonna wanna order 2 different rice bowls to try bc they’re only $4!! Ramen-wise we tried the chicken paitan and the hakata tonkotsu dx — delish.

FOG HARBOR FISH HOUSE AT FISHERMAN’S WHARF

This was our favorite dinner of our trip because we were lucky enough to time everything just right. Fog Harbor is where we had dinner on the 4th of July, and were able to enjoy our dinner with a firework show right on the water. You need to get the chowder bowl with the fresh crab, you won’t regret it.

Z & Y BISTRO

So listen, these spicy dumplings and shrimp skewers were everything.. I legit ordered another bowl of the dumplings. If you’re big on Hot Pots you’ll definitely love this place. It’s got an intimate mood and vibe — it’s a cute date spot in Chinatown.

COFFEE + SNACKS

Here’s a list of my fav grab and go’s:

  • Ghirardelli Chocolate Company – which was right next door to our hotel.. we LOVED that. I got the classic chocolate chip cookie and sea salt hot chocolate.
  • Sight Glass Coffee – If you’re looking for a cup of coffee made with love you have to try Sight Glass! Made with green coffee and roasted to actual perfection. If I ever opened a coffee house.. this would be served.
  • Chantal Guillon – We stumbled upon Chantal Guillon when we were doing some shopping on Howard St (plz visit and go shopping at all the cute boutiques), and wanted to try their handcrafted French macarons.. and um ya, loved them. They could make a cute gift to bring back for your friend, fam or yourself

CARDINALS VS. GIANTS AT ORACLE PARK

Baseball on the bay with bae = my fav thing ♡

We went in July and weren’t prepared for how freezing cold it was gonna be as soon as the sun went down. Bring like 4 blankets, and thank me later. It gets pretty chilly since the stadium basically sits on the water. Other than the weather this stadium is ridiculously stunning — and is known for their crab sandwiches and garlic fries, which we got and immediately inhaled bc too good.
